Tasting note: Bright gold appearance. The nose offers an attractive balance between the Sherry and the Bourbon oak that combines well with the biscuity malt and touches of honey. Light to medium bodied, with good concentration, the palate delivers a deft touch of both Bourbon and Sherry influences being mildly fruity with the toasty, biscuity flavours repeating. Gently warming spirit. Subtle yet persistent spicy / malt aftertaste. Overall on the drier side, not particularly profound, but beautifully balanced for a youngster and possibly just enough Sherry here to lure back old school Macallan fans.
